Being Real

I've decided that maybe I have a hard time keeping up with my blog because I'm not being real.  Let me explain.  I have a hard time deciding what to write because I have mixed feelings about sharing things about my life.  Blogging for me is part journaling and part sharing with friends and family.  Sometimes, the two isn't really good together because it can get personal and it's hard to share something too personal with those closest to you.  There's no anonymity.  I worry about offending or hurting someone.  Or, I worry about what people think...  So, lots of times, I might want to write about something but opt not to for the aforementioned reasons.  

Another reason I don't write a post is because I'm busy!  I have a husband, three kids, a home, church, PTA, etc.  Right now, my family takes up most of my time, especially my toddler, who still nurses and wakes up once a night.  Most days, it's all I can do to keep up with the meals and the laundry.  

Third, I don't think my life is that interesting.  I've decided that I'm just a boring person and who would really want to read about me anyway?  Sure, I have ideas and thoughts about different topics but they're not new.  There are lots of really great blogs out there about all sorts of things.  So, maybe, just maybe, there are those that are bloggers and there are blog readers.  You need both types in this world!

The thing that keeps me blogging is mainly to keep in touch and to record some of those special moments that I'd like to remember.  If I'm not too busy... ;-)
